Beljan Block

Beljan Block is a two and a half storey commercial building that was fully redeveloped in 2017. The project consisted of adding two floors on top of existing single storey building that was constructed in the early 1900’s. The new features a main open staircase, large operable windows, and a rooftop patio.

Beljan Block is situated on the north side of Whyte Avenue between Gateway Boulevard and 104 Street. It is located on the block that is planning to transform its alley into an active ‘back street’, called The Strathcona Backstreet. The plan is to ‘pedestrianize’ the alley by adding new lighting, decorative paving, landscaping, and public space in an effort to create an active and safe environment.

Current tenants include John Fluevog and Sugared & Spiced.
