Crawford Block

8222 Gateway Boulevard, Edmonton, AB

Crawford Block was constructed in 1912 by Herbert Howard Crawford and served as the home of Strathcona furniture for many years. By working closely with key stakeholders and municipal Historic Planners, this building is now declared a Municipal Historic Resource and extensive restoration to its façade is complete. The new 5-storey addition creates roughly 7,000 SF of new retail space and 40 micro-apartments.

This mixed-use development is located in the heart of Old Strathcona, an arts and entertainment district that is one of Edmonton’s most popular neighbourhoods. Given the high level of walkability and access to public transit, there is no on site parking. Building amenities includes two rooftop patios, shared laundry facilities, secure indoor bicycle parking and additional storage.
