Hulbert Block

Hulbert Block is a three-story building located on Whyte Avenue, the most vibrant street in Old Strathcona lined with a multitude of shops, restaurants and entertainment venues.

The building was originally constructed in 1912 and has been the long-time home to Block 1912, a well known café and catering company. The upper floors have remained vacant for many years.

An extensive restoration program complete with a new façade has breathed new life into the formerly under-utilized building but will also land it on the designated Municipal Historic Resource list.
